I don't know how far you've got with the panzer but what about one of these as another option:

http://ww2drawings.jexiste.fr/Files/1-Vehicles/Axis/1-Germany/07-Others/SpecialPurpose-Vehicles/Borgward4-Ausf.A.htm

They are pioneer vehicles but are fully armoured and of about the correct size. No reason why you can't stick a 42 on top.

Decided I need an alternative to 50 round MP40 so I dug this out of the loft - StG-44 look-a-like for the December game:-

Cool, plan to convert it at all? I think you might need some more magazines though.

No plans for conversion(since it's on the 'accepted' CiA list, I need to keep it as an AK for my NVA loadout) - I did have an HK-33 and one of warren's StG-44 front-ends years ago, but sold it to che :D Not sure if he finished it?

As for Mags - heh, actually I ordered a box last night - some of the ones I have are prone to miss-feeding  - I might sell them to Barrie for his Bren

Is there anyone else yet to book up for the December game? My mate (and co-incidentally my lift up there!) wants to sign up for the Allies, but there are no more spaces available until we get two more Axis.

Helga's not signed up - think she's trying to find someone to look after the children.

Sounds like a plan to me! Maximum firepower will be required, I don't want to be outgunned by the Thompson brigade!

Well, I've just taken delivery of an unused MP40 with the Fire Support upgrade - tight barrel, proper hop, etc, so I'm really itching to see how it performs!

My new box of AK-47 Midcaps have turned up today  - replacements for the KA ones that have had issues.

Nice! You should make yourself a hicap for it. I made one just for the upcoming game, so I can have that on my MP40, plus 6 locaps in my pouches, giving me the 600 round limit.

I know it's herecy to talk about hicaps but I don't want to be outgunned in any shape or form, nor to make any excuses about "thompsons and their hicaps"after the game.

Heh, I'll see what peeps make of these mid-caps. I go to open days with my lo-caps against the M249 box mag brigade, but I've never felt outgunned to be honest. A few ghey Thompsons won't get me down.... possibly!

My ICS AK74 seems to have a very very good range, it just james every now & then, I have even swapped the whole gearbox & motor & its still does it, it can run for 3000 rounds than suddenly jam, if I take the motor off it clears it, very strange,

im really wanting to use my dboys again :slap:

the practical side says take my ak as well

but i think ill use one of my mp40s and just put a 9.6v battery on it

ive got 7 mags, and 5 speedloaders so i should be ok (though i wont carry all 5 as id be over the ammo limit) :good:

i think a few ak`s would be good, but if we all take em into the field the allies will whine about 600 rd high caps :ghey: (even though id use a mix of 7 mid/standard caps)

Maybe we won't need the AK firepower, if we've got the MGs - if we slaughter them using AKs, then they're bound to start complaining!

I think I'll stick with the trusty M14 for this one. It may not have the most firepower as it will be limited to semi-auto but thats not really my style anyway. I may have to spend a little to make sure its achieving its full potenial though. I'd also like to get it looking somewhat G43ish but I don't think I'll get very far in time.
